I am….

Reading:  Nicola Griffith's Ammonite.  Just started it.  Her book Hild is one of my all time favorites, so I'm excited to read this one.  Here's a great article from about Nicola and her work.

Listening to:  Sounds of the neighborhood.  I'm sitting out on the patio letting Maddie have a floop, so I'm hearing traffic, folks coming home, the occasional dog barking, the wind in the trees.

Loving:  Taco Cabana's Limeade.  Delish!

Thinking:  What a nice day I had.  I met up with an old friend and mentee for lunch.  It was great to hear how successful she's become, and I'm so proud of her!

Feeling:  Relieved that my blood pressure is back in reasonable land.

Celebrating:  Nothing really.  Just ever grateful.

Grateful for:  My permanent answer to this is “everything”.

Weather:  Nice breeze this afternoon, and I've noticed the mornings are getting cooler.  Still hot, but not unbearably so.

Enjoying:  Downtime after work.  I love sitting out on the patio after work with Maddie.  Hubs is a good guy--he gives me time to decompress.

A quote I want to share:

I remember my Gram always used to tell me when I said my prayers, to not ask of God but to thank him.  She said "you don't need to ask, he already knows what you need".  I never quite got that (doesn't he already know I'm thankful too?)--but this quote reminded me of it.
